Mexico City is one
of the oldest cities in the Americas.
The Distrito Federal (Mexico City, also known as 'DF') (elevation:
2,240 meters or 7,350 feet) is the political hub of Mexico.
While there is smog, the city is surprisingly green thanks to
numerous city parks, including the Alameda,
Viveros,
Chapultepec
Park and the Xochimilco
Gardens. |
| South of the city the
rugged Ajusco
Mountains are home to some of the most popular and well-maintained
biking and hiking trails in the country. |
