Nimbin is the heart of hippy Australia.

Nimbin is a small village in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, part of the 'Rainbow Region' and is culturally important to the Bundjalung Aboriginal Australians. Its fame comes from its history in Australia's counterculture. It was a sleepy dairy town until the 1973 Aquarius Festival.

Location - 28°36'S 153°14"E

Nimbin is 30 kilometers north of Lismore, 43 kilometers southeast of Kyogle, and 70 kilometers west of Byron Bay.

TRANSPORTATION - There is direct bus service with Byron Bay.
