The Feria
Nacional de San Marcos honors the city's patron saint, is billed
as the biggest fair in the country.
It draws more than 2 million people between April and May. Although
casinos are illegal in Mexico, gambling has been a major fair attraction
for years, a move that forced the federal government two years ago
to grant temporary gambling permits.
SPORTS
Necaxa
is a division soccer team. The team left Mexico City and relocated
to Aguascalientes following the 2003 opening of Estadio Victoria,
which is now the team's home venue.
