| The fishing town of Puerto Angel is
famous for its beautiful beaches. It's also a cozy setting for nature
hikes, snorkeling and swimming. Surrounded by rocky hills and sandy
beaches, the main tourist avenue -- Playa Principal (also known
as Playa del Muelle) -- is where you will find fishermen who take
travelers out on the sea.
BEACHES
The most famous beach is Zipolite, one of the few nudist beaches
in the country. It can be fairly crowded. Due to the strong surf,
extreme caution should be taken while swimming. Adjacent to Zipolite
is Playa del Amor.
Ixtacahuite Beach has a reef located just offshore. La Boquilla
Beach is recommended for those wishing to snorkel as the waters
here are more shallow.
