| Queenstown ('QT') is a resort town and
self-proclaimed 'Adventure Capital of the World' on New Zealand's
South
Island.
GEOGRAPHY
The town is built around an inlet on Lake Wakatipu, a thin lake
shaped like a staggered lightning bolt. There are awesome views
of nearby mountains. The town is the largest center in Central
Otago though for administrative purposes it is considered part
of Southland.
CLIMBING
For a mountain town, there are many great hikes and places to climb,
including the 2,819-meter
Mount Earnslaw.
