Nearby is Mount
Aspiring National Park (established in 1964), a walker's paradise
and a must for mountaineers. The views are endless and unforgettable.
The park is part of Te Wahipounamu - Southwest New Zealand World
Heritage Area.
Lake
Hawea is located 15 minutes from Wanaka and 60 minutes from
Queenstown. The lake is 35 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide.
