- Omaere runs the Pedagogical Ethnobotanical Omaere Park located five minutes outside of Puyo. This is one of the first ethnical botanical parks in Latin America and "relies on a team of indigenous Shuar, Zaparo, Huaorani and Quicha specialists" to provide environmental education that emphasizes the value of traditional indigenous wisdom. The park is 15.6 hectares in size and boasts 1,500 different species from the Ecuadorian Amazon; almost a third are cultivated in the forest nurseries and greenhouses.

- RICANCIE is a network of ten Quichua communities in the Upper Napo valley who have established a unique and genuine ecotourism programme based on our traditional respect for our natural and cultural heritage, as an alternative way of developing our communities for both present and future generations. The income generated through tourism contributes towards improving families' income, women's participation and helps arrest the problem of young people's migration to the towns by offering them work and opportunities in the communities.
