ABOUT THE EVENT
Eco-friendly itineraries will be the new measuring stick for
eco travel and ecotourism.
The Environmental Impact of Transportation Conference was Planeta's
13th e-conference (see index).
We examined how to 'get there from here' without leaving an
indelible footprint on the environment. The original dialogue
took place in October and November 2003.
Updates are posted in our forum
and we maintain relevant links.
Follow-up work includes the creation of an online seminar.
Participants looked at the environmental impact of transportation
at local, regional and international levels. The event provided
a unique opportunity for an in-depth dialogue and shed light
on practical actions for travelers, entrepreneurs and policy-makers.
This online event was co-sponsored by Planeta.com,

Shores System, ECOCLUB.com,

RESULTS
Among the results of the conference, the Black Sheep Inn announced
a 10%
eco discount for guests arriving by bicycle. Thank you
for not polluting!
