Mapparium
is a globe about 30 meters in height made in the 1930s. Each
plate of stained class depicts the world before World War II.
This exhibit is housed in the headquarters of the Christian
Science Church.

Boston is one of the first places where the English colonized
the United States. The Freedom Trail traces the footsteps of
Paul Revere's famous midnight ride.
BIG DIG
Big Dig is the unofficial name of the Central Artery/Tunnel
Project (CA/T), a megaproject that rerouted the Central Artery
(Interstate 93), the chief controlled-access highway through
the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, into a 3.5 mile (5.6km)
tunnel under the city.
According to Wikipedia
the Big Dig has been the most expensive highway project in the
United States. Although the project was estimated at $2.8 billion
in 1985 (in 1982 dollars), as of 2006 more than $14.6 billion
had been spent in federal and state tax dollars.
NEARBY
Nearby are the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, Acadia
National Park in Maine, the lakes region of New Hampshire and
the forests of Vermont which are especially popular in fall
foliage times and skiing in the winter.
The White Mountains of New Hampshire have great hiking, camping
and skiing, snowmobiling. This region is also home to Mount
Washington, the highest peak in New England.
