SLIDESHOW

In 2007 Planeta.com conducted a reader survey focusing on Mexico news coverage in national and international media. Thanks to all who participated.

The majority of respondents are journalists and long-time expats living in Mexico. Responses have helped update Planeta.com's popular directory of Mexico news sources. There were 22 responses.

Among the findings - readers are most interested in national politics and poverty alleviation stories. El Financiero tops the favorites list for national newspapers. The Los Angeles Times topped the list for international papers.

When asked what topics deserve more coverage, the answers were a veritable smorgsabord including human rights, freedom of expression, immigration and analysis of the national economy from foreign observers.
