Planeta.com is seeking your nominations for our fourth-annual book of the year award. What is the best place-based guidebook of 2009? The best scholarly work on tourism? The best book on the environment? Travel? World culture? Planeta.com asks readers what you consider the must-reads.

ABOUT THE AWARD

CATEGORIES - Categories include best books about the environment, climate, food, travel and the world.

REQUIREMENT - Books must be published in 2009 or in the last two months of 2008.

NOMINATIONS - Authors and publishers are encouraged to submit their own work. Multiple submissions are not necessary. Publishers are asked to nominate no more than two titles.

VOTING - Voting takes place in November. Respondents will be asked to review all the nominees and choose their favorite. Multiple votes from a singe user will not be permitted.

AUTHORS

Authors and publishers are encouraged to submit their own work. Winners claim bragging rights and winning titles are featured on this website.
