ECOLOGISTS OF "CERRO DE ALTAMIRANO" NGO
Mexico - The town of Contepec, Michoacán and the John F. Kennedy Institute are located just two hours west of Mexico City. Travelers will enjoy camping and hiking in the nearby mountains. The temperature here ranges from 45 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. We offer the following services:
Come to Contepec!
For foreign travelers, one of our biggest advantages is our bilingual staff. The institute teaches English and computer science.
We also offer plenty of security. We have four acres, which are fenced in. There is telephone and fax service. The water supply is purified and we have a sewage system.
In the town of Contepec, you will enjoy the colonial-style architecture as well as find useful places like grocery stores, drugstores, medical services, hotels and car service stations. Be sure to visit the art exhibits at the Casa de la Cultura.
Costs:
Two days/one night camping with meals and local guide service to Altimirano Mountain costs 250 pesos. Extended stays can be arranged at a discounted price for those wishing to enjoy our community for a longer period of time.
Making Contact
We are looking for an institution that would support our work in educational training. We are eager to collaborate with other groups in Mexico as well as the United States and Canada. We also want learn more about the services that are offered to the tourists
.
