RON MADER

Ron Mader developed the site in 1994 as a reporter's notebook (a forerunner of today's blog and wiki), Planeta pioneered online reporting focusing on practical ecotourism around the globe, addressing sustainability and the holistic integration of development work.

Ron is a communication catalyst, focusing on environmental conservation, responsible travel and ecotourism, not to mention peacemaking. He is currently editing a seminal essay titled Toward Effective Communication in Responsible Travel and Ecotourism and developing an award for indigenous tourism websites.
