SAMPLE EXERCISES

WEEK 1 - Print the Sustainable Development Index and distribute to participants. If you can, post the index on a public bulletin board.

WEEK 1 - Ask students to prepare a background essay on what is sustainable development. Ask students to compose individual responses and discuss this in class.

WEEK 1 - Ask students to find the 'dead links' in the index. Are there other recommended links in the resources cited? Compile a report and submit this to the editor.

WEEK 2 - Once the current index is updated, ask students if they have other sites to recommend. Compile a report and send this to the editor.

POST SEMINAR - We will publish the revised index. If students have prepare a collective essay, we will publish that as well. We ask that you print these documents for the students and if possible, post this on a public bulletin board. We'll make sure to give online credit (and kudos!) to your class.
