REGISTRATION
Registering online Yahoo may be confusing. Be patient! Registration
is fairly simple, and there is always a "second option" of creating
a new account if you have any problems with passwords or clearances.
Step-by-step instructions:
1) Go to http://groups.yahoo.com
or for help in Spanish (ayuda en español) -- http://mx.groups.yahoo.com
2) If Yahoo recognizes you, but can't locate your groups,
you should be aware of the Membership
Wizard which may help.
3) If you are already subscribed to some of the groups, registered
in the past but cannot remember your password, select "Registered
users Sign in!"
4) The new page requests that you enter your email address
and eGroups password -- or if you don't recall, just the email.
Be sure to use the email address which is already subscribed
in to a forum
5) The new page informs you that Yahoo has sent the AUTHORIZATION
CODE to your email. When you check your email, copy that code
and now you can log into Yahoo Groups!
6) Once you enter the Code, the new page asks if you have
a Yahoo ID. If not, it's time to create one. This process takes
about 5 minutes. Here is what you are asked to do:
Select a login name and password. The sign-up form asks you
for your birthday, alternate email, language preference (this
is important!) zip code, gender, occupation and industry. Be
as honest as you'd like. The sign-up form also assumes that
you will want Yahoo Groups to send you advertising. The final
question in the form allows you to turn off that option for
receiving "special offers, promotions and Yahoo! features."
Among the most frequent problems, Yahoo provides answers to
the following questions:
What
if I forgot my password and/or Yahoo! ID?
Why
doesn't my password work?
Can
I change my Yahoo! ID?
How
do I change my alternate email address?
