Downtown Las Vegas is the historic district of Las Vegas. Hashtag: #DTLV

Faves include Container Park, Nuwu, the Healing Garden, the old fort, and the Neon Museum. Best way to get around? We recommend RTC Bike Share for part of the journey.

Spurred into being in 1905, today’s downtown is a mix of mid-century neon and early century shipping containers and outdoor art. You can be part of this 21st century rebirth. Bike share is an excellent way to see the sights. We also enjoy walking. Unlike the strip, downtown is more amendable to pedestrians. Bottom line: Downtown is highly recommended for its public art, storied histories, and tales of long-haul renewal. Planeta.com is updating our tips for locals and visitors.
