Innovation = a change in the thought process for doing something, or the useful application of new inventions or discoveries

We need recipes for innovation and collaboration.

Innovation is not being complacent about the way things are, it’s about envisioning something better. If we wish to be generous and innovative, then we need to collaborate on a response to the question: What sort of a world do we want for everybody and how can such a world be demonstrated?

Innovation rests on the idea that no one person or company or organization can own all the best ideas. We find innovation through various means, including competition, contests, and awards.

Connected to innovation is disruption. Something new never emerges without bothering others.

Dissatisfaction leads to innovation.

Innovation happens when people are allowed to do stuff.
– Sir Tim Berners-Lee, InternetNZ

Everything that can be invented has been invented.
– Charles H. Duell, Director of the U.S. Patent Office, 1899
