Monday, 2018 Indigenous Peoples Week

Monday. Day One. August 6, 2018. The start of our annual celebration of Indigenous travel and tourism around the globe. This is our eighth year of hosting an online unconference, conversations found online Twitter and Facebook and as comments and responses posted on Planeta.com.

Each day this week Planeta.com will host an online social web challenge. Next Monday we’ll tabulate the points and announce winners by giving kudos to those who contribute.

This conversation is free and open to everyone – Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, those who work in travel and tourism proper and those who work on the fringes or outside traditional definitions of ‘tourism provider’ or ‘guide.’

Question of the Day
What Indigenous tourism experiences / tours / crafts can you recommend?

Status Report
August 2018 – Transferring content from the first generation Planeta.com and our recently expired wiki to this website. Apologies for dead links or formatting that’s gone askew. Suggestions are welcome as we update this website.

Options for visitors seeking out Indigenous travel and tourism need improved promotion. One way to start is via the social web.
