More news about Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area as we explore it on foot. This is one of Planeta.com’s featured slow adventures.
This is reputed to be one of most interesting wild places to visit in the Las Vegas Lands.
In 2017 the Nawghaw Poa Road (“mountain sheep trail” in Paiute!) and contact station were formally inaugurated. The road is now fully paved from Democracy and Via Firenze.
How to get there:
Nawghaw Poa Road is just west of Democracy Drive and Via Firenze.
Check in with a ranger when you begin your visit. The contact station is open from 8am to 4:30pm daily between October 1 and May 31. From June 1 to September 30, the station is open from 8am to 4:30pm Friday through Sunday.
