UNESCO’s List of World Heritage in Danger is designed to inform the international community of conditions which threaten the very characteristics for which a property was inscribed on the World Heritage List, and to encourage corrective action // La Lista del Patrimonio Mundial en Peligro de la UNESCO está diseñada para informar a la comunidad internacional sobre las condiciones que amenazan las mismas características por las cuales un bien fue inscrito en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial, y para alentar acciones correctivas.
Sites are inscribed on the Danger List when their Outstanding Universal Value, characteristics for which they were inscribed on the World Heritage List, are under threat.
